GERMAN DOWNPROOF FABRIC

Nothing surpasses the quality of German Down Proof Cottons. At St Genève we partner with Germany’s best mills with generations of experience choosing the right cottons, spinning, weaving and expertly finishing the cloth using the finest German made equipment. All of our German made fabrics have achieved the OEKO-TEX® designation and have been rigorously tested to ensure that there are no harmful chemicals.

SOLOFT™

SoLoft™ quality ticking begins with high quality long staple cotton. In Germany this cotton is spun into fine, yet very strong threads. These are woven with a distinctive weave pattern. The fabric is then sent through a special process that uses high pressure and very specific temperatures to achieve some unique properties. There are no coatings or chemical treatments used to make this fabric down proof and washable. It is accomplished with mechanical and heat processes.

The resulting fabric is incomparable for pillows:

  • Exquisitely soft to the touch
  • Completely down proof
  • Enhanced breathability
  • Completely machine washable
  • Long lasting
  • Dust mite proof
  • 300 Thread Count

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textiles that ensures that no harmful substances were used in the making of the fabrics. If a textile article carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be certain that every component of the article has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless for human health. In the test they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements.
