Down Care

With a little care your down products can last you a lifetime.

PILLOWS - DAILY CARE

  • Fluff with Intention - A gentle daily fluff restores loft, ensuring your pillow stays sumptuously supportive.
  • Dress in Layers of Care - Always use a pillowcase and protector. Launder both frequently, weekly is ideal for a fresh sleep experience.
  • Mindful Inspection – To know when it’s time to wash, fold your pillow in half. If it lingers folded or unfolds slowly, it deserves a proper clean.

PILLOWS - CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Please note: Before cleaning your down pillow, carefully read and follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer. The label will provide specific recommendations for washing and drying.

WASHING

  • Prepare with Care - Mend any small tears before laundering to preserve the integrity of the fill.
  • Gentle Cleansing - Wash with a mild, fragrance-free detergent to protect the down’s natural integrity.
  • Balanced Load - Launder two pillows at a time in a front-loading machine, using warm to hot water.
  • Pure Rinse - Follow with an additional wash and rinse cycle, free of detergent, to ensure purity and softness.

DRYING

  • Gradual Drying - Begin on medium heat, then finish on low; full dryness may require 2–3 cycles.
  • Restored Loft - Place dryer or new tennis balls inside to gently fluff and prevent clumping. Pause to shake out larger clusters if needed.
  • Final Assurance - Check carefully for any cool or damp spots; complete dryness is essential to protect against mildew and preserve lasting luxury.

DUVETS - DAILY CARE

  • Daily Renewal - Gently fluff to maintain fullness and natural loft.
  • Protect - Always dress your duvet in a cover, laundering it once or twice monthly for a consistently fresh, refined sleep experience.
  • Simplify - Avoid layering with extra blankets or bedspreads, which diminish the duvet’s warmth efficiency.
  • Preserve with Care - Never vacuum your duvet. Rotate regularly for even wear and lasting luxury.
  • Thoughtful Storage - When not in use, store loosely in a breathable fabric bag to protect while allowing air circulation.
  • Graceful Spot Care - For minor marks, gently spot clean with pure soap, rinse thoroughly, and hang to dry in fresh air.

DUVETS - CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Please note: Before cleaning your down duvet, carefully read and follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer. The label will provide specific recommendations for washing and drying.

  • Specialist Care Only -  We strongly recommend professional wet washing by an establishment experienced in caring for down duvets.
  • Only When Needed - Clean sparingly, only when your duvet has become soiled.
  • Air to Perfection - After any cleaning, ensure the duvet is aired fully for complete freshness.
  • Material-Specific Care - Duvets with Tencel™ ticking must be wet washed exclusively.
  • Eiderdown Refinement - Eiderdown duvets, being exceptionally rare and delicate, should be cleaned as infrequently as possible.

CARING FOR YOUR MATTRESS TOPPER

Please note: Before cleaning your down mattress topper, carefully read and follow the care instructions provided by the manufacturer. The label will provide specific recommendations for cleaning.

To keep your topper feeling fresh and comfortable, give it a good shake and plump it regularly. For added protection and longer-lasting comfort, we recommend always using a topper protector.

Please remember: Just like a mattress, toppers should never be machine washed. For small spills or marks, you can spot clean the area as you would with a mattress just make sure the fill is thoroughty dry before use.
